We need your help:

We are in desperate need of new and used blankets to minister successfully to the homeless in the Ocala National Forest and the Lake and Marion County area. We are praying that we receive 500 blankets to meet the need for the remainder of the year and next fall.

The Rainbow Sleeping bag = Adonated blanket + a 6 X 8 tarp, + some sewing love, + a bungee cord + a P38 Army can opener.

Our ladies sewing club cut and sew the blankets to match and fit a 6 X 8 foot plastic tarp. We then sew rainbow colored ribbon cords to the corners so that the blankets can be tied to the tarp. The tarp-blanket has now become a type of all weather sleeping bag for those who do not have a tent or shelter. The plastic makes it extremely warm in the cold and a wool blanket will keep a person warm even if it is wet.

On each blanket the ladies sewing club embroider, by computer sewing machine, the following love message in hippie street language:
